With this new year, just like all the ones before, there comes many broken resolutions and goals. That is why when that clock struck midnight almost two months ago, I decided to abandon my usual resolutions like, "loose 20 pounds," or " get a 4.0 gpa." This year I decided to come up with a new resolution, one that I can live up to more easily and will still cover all the basics.

This year I settled on : " Be a better me." .

..whoah.

Heavy stuff, I know.

Think about it though. To better myself can be as big as striving to loose that 20 pounds, or as little as flossing regularly. I could save up for a new car but I could also give my dog a bath so my dad doesn't have to. Whether your goals are big or small, they are pushing you to better yourself in whatever way you wish. Don't measure your success by the magnitude of the task because some of our biggest goals in life are not tasks at all. Sometimes they are a state of mind.

Yes, i want to remember to floss everyday, loose 20 pounds, buy a new car, blah blah blah.

But my biggest goal in my vow to "be a better me," is so simple, yet often times the hardest to acheive fully; and that is to be happy.

So no matter how big or small the things you wish to accomplish this year are; think of how they will help you become a better you.

And with that in mind... what is YOUR ultimate goal?
